Background:
After graduating with a degree in Radio & Television Production from the University of Houston, I secured an entry-level position with a local Houston sports TV channel. As the channel grew into the national Prime Sports Network, my career grew with it. At Prime Sports, I became a production assistant, working as camera operator, audio engineer, stage manager, and second director for both live and taped programming.
When communications giant News Corporation bought Prime Sports, it became the international cable franchise Fox Sports International, and I was given the opportunity to shift gears to the business side of television. As international programming manager, I developed programming schedules and managed delivery of sporting events to several international channels. Less than three years later, I was promoted to director with responsibilities that included contractual and financial negotiation of broadcast rights, and overseeing an annual spending budget in excess of $10 million.
With ten years in fast-paced world of broadcasting and media under my belt, I decided it was time to pursue my dream of a more creative career. I enrolled in the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and earned a diploma in graphic design. In 2005, I paired print design with copywriting, and launched my own full service marketing and communications company. I soon added web design to my services.
With experience in corporate enterprise, specializing in Marcom was a natural. Well-versed in the structure and operations of multi-national corporations, along with a valuable background in media and mass communications, I am perfectly positioned to assist any company with its daily internal and external communications, as well as media relations and overall marketing strategy.
